Admission

Admission Criteria


Kottoor Technical and Welfare Institute, we believe in quality of education. Admissions to the various courses are strictly on merit.

NCVT Affiliation


All the Engineering Courses conducted under craftsman training scheme are affiliated to NCVT Govt. of India vide order no DGET – 6/9/7/85-TC dtd 04-12-1985, DGET- 6/9/86 TC - dtd 5/9/86 , DGET - 12(1)96-TC dtd 07-8-1996, & 12(1)2009-TC dtd 20-3-2009

How to apply


Applications forms can be obtained from the institute. Duly filled application form along with attested copies of necessary documents are to be submitted in person or by Registered post to the institute office.

Documents to be submitted at the time of admission


  • Qualifying examination certificate / provisional certificate and mark lists
  • Transfer certificate issued from the institution last attended.
  • 10 copies of SSLC certificate ( Four copies attested by Gazetted officer)
  • Conduct certificate issued by the competent authority
  • Medical Fitness Certificate
  • 12 Passport size photos
  • Copy of Adhar Card

Selection Procedure


  • The selection of the candidate will be based on their merit.
  • There will be a written test as well as interview before the selection.
  • Selected candidate shall take admission at the appointed time by paying the fees.
  • Two seats from each unit are reserved for candidates belonging to SC/ST.

Attendance


80% of attendance is required for appearing the All India trade Test (AITT) in each semester. Trainees absented more than 10 days without informing the authorities will be discharged from Training. Trainees having less than 50 % of attendance will be removed from the rolls without notice.

Certificate


Passed candidates of AITT (ALL India Trade Test) will be issued with NTC (National Trade Certificate) & Consolidated Mark list by NCVT ..

Examination and Trade Test


There will be monthly class test, quarterly examination and model examination. All India trade Test is conducted as per the NCVT scheme in each Semester.

Trainee has to appear for Trade Practical , Trade theory, Workshops Calculation & Science, Engineering Drawing, & Employability Skill subject.

Rules and Regulations


  • The student code of conduct is established to foster and protect the core missions of the Kottoor ITI to foster the scholarly and civic development of the institute's students in a safe and secure learning environment, to protect the people, properties and processes that support the Institute and its missions.
  • All students assume responsibility to observe standards of conduct that will contribute to the pursuit of academic goals and to the welfare of the academic community.
  • It is mandatory for all Students to have 80% of attendance of the total working days to appear for All India Trade Test.
  • It is the policy of Kottor ITI that no student shall distribute, possess, or use illegal drugs on its premises. It is also the Policy of institute that smoking is prohibited in the campus.
  • Unauthorized access means accessing without authorization Institute property, facilities, services, or information systems, or obtaining or providing to another person the means of such unauthorized access, keys, access cards, or access codes are strictly prohibited. Appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against such students.
  • Every student shall maintain high standard of peace and tranquillity, an ideal conduct, cleanliness and discipline in his/her class room. No student shall play music at disturbing volume levels; shout, scream or commit acts of misbehaviour with his/her fellow students.
  • Students are always expected to wear clean and neat dress, meeting the requirements of an institution imparting professional education.
  • Use of Mobile Phones on the Campus during class hours is strictly prohibited and any violation of this rule will be dealt with strictly.
  • Students are prohibited from speaking on behalf of, or for, institute with any media organization or publication, or from inviting them to the institute without the written permission of the Office of the Institute.
  • A Student or group of Students shall not form any organization, society or organize any event or collect any fund or subscription without the specific written permission of the Institute.
  • If a student discontinues his/ her study after the admission closed, whatever may be the reason, he / she will have to debit the total amount of course fee before he/ she leaves the institute.
  • Tuition fee is to paid by the trainee specified date as per the direction issued by the Institute Management. Tuition fee and Practical fee are subjected to revision according is the decision of the management.
